We only supply oils that are grown organically, but not all our oils are certificated as such. With wild lavender this is in any case manifestly impossible. For us the crucial factor is provenance and personal contact, not a certificate.

A soil analysis and chemical breakdown of the essential oil are available on request, but in our view if a field is regularly hoed and contains weeds and wild flowers, you can be confident it has not been treated. To our knowledge only one English company (Kobashi) publishes exhaustive chemical tests of essential oils on the net – and they buy our oils.

Visit the fields

The oil you purchase from us will be labelled with the name of the grower. If you buy a litre or more of our oil we can arrange for you, if you are in the area, to visit the field where it was grown, or the commune in the case of wild lavender. These arrangements may be possible for lesser quantities too, but we can't guarantee it.
